I remember my childhood as a wonderful time, which I credit to my mother. I remember her being so present in my life and filling my day with creative activities and play. When I became a teen, life was less of a fairy tale as I was a very rebellious teen. As much as I pushed her away, she never budged. She stayed so involved that today we are best friends.

Now I have two little ones, an 8 year old step daughter (who lives with me and my husband full time) and a 4 month old. We live in a rancher in Maryland that has been somewhat converted into a multi-generational house. My family (Me, my husband David, Alyssa, and Kylie) live down stairs while my parents live upstairs.  Being such a young mother, I really wouldn’t want it any other way.

Living so close together, of course we get on each others nerves at times, but it truly is like having a live in motherhood mentor.

If I become HALF the mother to my children that my mom is to me, I would be forever grateful. I am sharing this journey as well as fun tidbits of motherhood with the world through my blog. I hope you enjoy =]
